The term “pressure sensitive” might describe you on a Monday morning, but it also describes a variety of adhesives widely used in automotive labeling. Pressure sensitive or “self-adhesive” labels are popular in part because they’re so easy to use. Most commonly used label adhesives, such as acrylics, are considered pressure sensitive. “Pressure Sensitive Label” really describes any adhesive that is tacky at room temperature and has the ability to bond to surfaces, even those with low surface energy (think: slippery surfaces), when force is applied.
